United Development Company (UDC), the master developer of The Pearl-Qatar and Gewan Island hosted a fun-filled weekend part of Shop Qatar’s nationwide shopping campaign.


Children and families were treated to an amusing performance of ‘Shaun the Sheep’ held over two days in Porto Arabia, a first of several shows and activities that will be taking place at The Pearl-Qatar every weekend in January. Qanat Quartier’s Boardwalk will play host to Justice League characters on January 24 and will hold Chinese Calligraphy workshops on January 25 and 26, while Porto Arabia’s 29 La Croisette will feature a Dragon Parade and Chinese Drummers on January 31.

The first of Shop Qatar’s three raffle draws was also held at The Amphitheater in Porto Arabia where 14 total winners walked away with a BMW 730Li and MINI Cooper Hatchback cars in addition to QR 330,000 in cash prizes. The draw was accompanied by an enchanting concert by Qatar's leading children's choir ‘Siwar’.


Visitors and residents still have a chance to win by shopping or dining at any of The Pearl-Qatar’s retail and F&B outlets then exchanging their receipts into raffle vouchers at three kiosks set up in Porto Arabia, Medina Centrale and Qanat Quartier.
