United Development Company Signs MoU with Qatar Science & Technology Park to Foster Technological Innovation and Sustainability at The Pearl and Gewan Islands

Doha, Qatar – October 14, 2024: United Development Company (UDC), the master developer of The Pearl and Gewan Islands, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP), a member of Qatar Foundation, to foster collaboration on innovative and sustainable solutions in real estate development. The signing ceremony took place at Cityscape Qatar 2024 and was attended by Mr. Ibrahim Jassim Al-Othman, UDC President, CEO, and Member of the Board, and Dr. Jack Lau, President of QSTP.

This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone in UDC’s ongoing commitment to integrating smart and sustainable technologies into its developments, further enhancing The Pearl and Gewan Islands as premier destinations for living, working, and entertainment. The collaboration will focus on areas such as technological advancements, research and development in environment and sustainability, and the implementation of smart city technologies.

Mr. Ibrahim Jassim Al-Othman stated: "This MoU aligns with UDC’s vision of creating sustainable, technologically advanced communities that meet the evolving needs of our residents and investors. Both parties will work closely to ensure the implementation of these projects under joint agreements, with the goal of achieving impactful, environmentally friendly solutions.
